Ok, unless you’ve been under a rock for the last two weeks, you know that LiAngelo Ball and two other UCLA players, Cody Riley and Jalen Hill were detained in China for shoplifting in the Louis Vuitton store next to their hotel while visiting the country for an exhibition game against Georgia Tech.

The players were not allowed to leave the country and had to stay behind after their teammates returned home. And the three UCLA students were looking at a 10 year prison sentence if convicted.

They were finally allowed to return home and arrived in Los Angeles Tuesday evening after President Trump asked China’s President Xi Jinping to intervene. Now we all know President Trump likes to be praised no matter if he deserves it or not. But in this case he is absolutely owed a gesture of gratitude.

When Lavar Ball was asked by ESPN about President Trump’s involvement in helping his son and the other players return home his response was “Who?”

“What was he over there for? Don’t tell me nothing. Everybody wants to make it seem like he helped me out.” He told ESPN on Friday.

Now look, Trump irritates our soul, but it if it wasn’t for him your child would still be in China right now. You don’t have to agree with the man but you definitely need to show some respect. This type of behavior is why your son who is well over 6ft tall thinks he can walk his giraffe a** in the Louis Vuitton store and steal like no one will notice. The PAC 12 didn’t manage to get your child released and UCLA didn’t either.

So, YES, Lavar Ball, President Donald Trump did help you out and you and your entire family should show some gratitude. People wonder why the rest of the world looks at us like we’re lazy and entitled because you don’t even have enough humility to say thank you when it’s the right thing to do.

Y’all all need a good Shannon Sharpe swift kick in the a**.

An unexpected ally, President Donald Trump has reached out to the Chinese President Xi Jinping to help resolve the issue in the case of three UCLA men’s basketball players that were arrested in Hangzhou, China on suspicion of shoplifting on November 7th.

LiAngelo Ball, younger brother of Los Angeles Lakers rookie, Lonzo Ball, Cody Riley and Jalen Hill have been accused of stealing sunglasses from the Louis Vuitton store while abroad for an exhibition tournament against Georgia Tech.

Trump arrived in Beijing the day after the arrest for a two-day state visit. During his trip President Trump personally asked Chinese President, Xi Jinping to look into this matter. XI promised to ensure the players are being treated fairly and expeditiously.

Trump told reporters “ They’re working on it right now”…” Hopefully everything is going to work out” he also added that he hoped the players could be on their way home soon.

We will continue to follow this story as more things develop.
